报告题目:三维数字化技术在考古和文化遗产保护中的应用 报告人:查红彬教授 报告时间:2007年12月8日(星期六)上午 8:50 报告地点:东吴饭店咖西会议室 报告人简介: 查红彬,北京大学信息科学技术学院智能科学系教授、博导,教育部长江学者奖励计划特聘教授,视觉与听觉信息处理国家重点实验室主任。1990年,日本九州大学工学院研究生毕业,获工学博士。同年,任日本九州工业大学信息工程学院助教。1991年,任九州大学工学院副教授,后转任该校系统信息科学院副教授。1999年,英国Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing, University of Surrey访问教授。2000年底回国工作。 专业方向为计算机视觉、虚拟现实、智能机器人系统,从事三维几何数据解析、环境几何建模、三维物体识别、自律分散机器人系统、移动机器人等方面的研究工作。出版学术期刊及国际会议论文120多篇。在日本申请专利2项。获99年度IEEE SMC Society Franklin V. Taylor Award。担任重要学术组织及国际会议的各种委员,包括国际学术期刊Advanced Robotics编委、IEEE Trans. SMC三维图像处理与建模专辑客座编委、IEICE Trans. Information and Systems多分辨率解析专辑编委、中国人工智能学会机器感知与虚拟现实专业委员会主任。
报告题目:计算机动画研究进展 报告人:金小刚教授 报告时间:2007年12月8日(星期六)上午 10:30 报告地点:东吴饭店咖西会议室 报告人简介: 金小刚,男,1969年1月生,研究员,博士生导师。1989年于浙江大学计算机系获学士学位,1992年、1995 年分别于浙江大学应用数学系获计算几何与图形学硕士、博士学位。1997年晋升副研究员,2000年破格晋升研究员。自1995年至今为浙江大学CAD&CG国家重点实验室固定研究人员。曾赴日本广岛大学、香港城市大学、德国国家信息研究中心 (GMD) 、香港科技大学和香港中文大学进行合作研究。主持和完成国家自然科学基金项目5 项,国家科技部863计划项目1项,浙江省自然科学基金杰出青年团队项目1 项。近几年来,一直从事计算机动画、纹理设计与合成、几何造型、真实感图形、虚拟现实等的研究。《计算机真实感图形的算法基础》获2001年国家科技图书二等奖。在计算机动画方面的研究曾获2000年浙江省科技进步三等奖。获 1998年度浙江大学"竺可桢基金优秀教师奖",2000年度"中兴通讯奖"。2002年入选浙江省 "新世纪151人才工程"第二层次。2004年获得第九届霍英东青年教师基金。2005年入选 教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划。先后在国际重要学术期刊《IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications》、《IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics 》、《The Visual Computer》、《Computing in Science and Engineering》、《Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds》、《Computers & Graphics 》、《Journal of Graphics Tools》上发表论文22篇 。出版合著二本。
报告题目:Cyber worlds: reality and trends 报告人:Alexei教授 报告时间:2007年12月8日(星期六)上午 9:30 报告地点:东吴饭店咖西会议室 报告人简介: Dr. Alexei Sourin received his M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in computer graphics from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, Russia (MEPhI) in 1983 and 1988, respectively. He was a recipient of the prestigious awards Medal of the Ministry of Higher Education of the USSR for the Best Student"s Research Project and Honorary Diploma of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. From 1983 to 1993 he was a researcher at MEPhI where he worked on different scientific visualization and computer animation projects. Since 1993 he held faculty positions at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Currently he is an Associate Professor with the School of Computer Engineering at NTU. He is also a deputy director of the NTU"s Centre for Financial Engineering. His research interests are in function-based shape modeling, shared virtual environments, web visualization and visualization on the Grid, cyber-medicine, scientific visualization, and cyber-learning. He is a co-founder of the function representation (FRep) concept, which he further developed and applied in several interactive free-form shape modeling, virtual reality and medical visualization projects. He has also proposed a function-based web-visualization technique where analytical formulas are used for defining geometry, appearance and physical properties of the objects in shared virtual scenes. Dr. Sourin is also one of the pioneers of electronic education in Singapore. He authored a book "Computer graphics. From a Small Formula to Cyberworlds" which is adopted for teaching by several universities in South-East Asia. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of ACM SIGGRAPH. He is on the Editorial Boards of three international journals. He was on the international program committees of over 50 international conferences. 报告题目:三维数字化技术在考古和文化遗产保护中的应用 报告人:祝敬国主任 报告时间:2007年12月9日(星期日)上午 9:00 报告地点:苏州博物馆会场 报告人简介: 祝敬国 1946年11月出生于江苏省常熟市。1968年北京清华大学自动控制系电子计算机专业毕业。先后在哈尔滨飞机制造公司、上海飞机制造厂担任设计员、电脑组组长等职。1983年进上海博物馆筹建电脑室,历任电脑室主任、信息中心主任。现任首都博物馆总工程师、科技部主任,中国博物馆学会数字化专业委员会主任,《国际“文物数值化”论坛》副主席国代表。兼任国家建设部建筑智能化系统工程设计专家工作委员会专家、国家建设部科技委智能建筑技术开发推广中心专家组成员、中国自动化学会智能建筑与楼宇自动化专业委员会委员等职。 主持研制的主要课题有,《上海博物馆智能建筑系统》(1997年5月通过国家建设部科学技术委员会技术鉴定)、《泰山综合信息计算机管理系统》(国家建设部1998年科技进步三等奖)、《藏品编目图像管理系统》(国家文化部1988年科技进步四等奖)。GB 50348-2004《安全防范工程技术规范》主要编写成员。 参加过厦门国际会展中心、上海科技城、上海磁悬浮列车工程通信及基础设施系统等近百个智能建筑的方案评审、评标和验收工作。先后担任南京军区总医院病房大楼、中华世纪坛、深圳市民中心、中国国家博物馆等智能化工程的顾问。 对智能建筑的建议:当前智能建筑行业的主要任务,应该是从建筑特点、个性需求、软件调试等工程设计、工程实施方面下功夫,加强技术指标、控制要求的定量化。使得建筑智能化系统真正与应用和管理结合起来。提高工程的开通比例和运行效果,体现智能化系统的功能,切实保证投资效益。
报告题目:Embodied Media and Mixed Reality for Social and Physical Interactive Communication and Entertainment 报告人:Adrian教授 报告时间:2007年12月9日(星期日)上午 9:40 报告地点:苏州博物馆会场 报告人简介: Adrian David Cheok, who was born and raised in Adelaide Australia, graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) with First Class Honors in 1992 and an Engineering PhD in 1998. He has previously worked in real-time systems, soft computing, and embedded computing in Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs (Osaka, Japan). He has been working on research covering mixed reality, human-computer interaction, wearable computers and smart spaces, fuzzy systems, embedded systems, power electronics, and multi-modal recognition. He has successfully obtained funding for externally funded projects in the area of wearable computers and mixed reality from Nike, National Oilwell Varco, Defense Science Technology Agency, Ministry of Communications and Arts, National Arts Council, Singapore Science Center, Hougang Primary School. The research output has included numerous high quality academic journal papers, research prototype deliverables, numerous demonstrations including to the President and Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, broadcast television worldwide broadcasts on his research (such as CNN/CNBC/Discovery/National Geographic), and international invited new media exhibits such as in Ars Electronica and Wired Nextfest. He is currently an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore where he leads a team of over 20 researchers and students. He has been a keynote and invited speaker at numerous international and local conferences and events. He is invited to exhibit for two years in the Ars Electronica Museum of the Future, launching in the Ars Electronica Festival 2003. His works "Human Pacman" and "Magic Land" were selected as one of the worlds top inventions by Wired and invited to be exhibited in Wired NextFest 2005. He was invited to show the works "Human Pacman" and "Magic Land" at Wired NextFest 2005. He was IEEE Singapore Section Chairman 2003, and is presently ACM SIGCHI Chapter President. He was awarded the Hitachi Fellowship 2003, the A-STAR Young Scientist of the Year Award 2003, and the SCS Singapore Young Professional of the Year Award 2004. In 2004 he was invited to be the Singapore representative of the United Nations body IFIP SG 16 on Entertainment Computing and the founding and present Chairman of the Singapore Computer Society Special Interest Group on Entertainment Computing. Also in 2004, he was awarded an Associate of the Arts award by the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, Singapore. He was awarded as Fellow in Education, World Technology Network in 2004. In 2005 he was awarded a Microsoft Research Award for Gaming and Graphics. He is Editor/Associate Editor of the following academic journals: ACM Computers in Entertainment, Advances in Human Computer Interaction, International Journal of Arts and Technology (IJART), Journal of Recent Patents on Computer Science, The Open Electrical and Electronic Engineering Journal, Advances in Human Computer Interaction, International Journal of Entertainment Technology and Management (IJEntTM), Virtual Reality (Springer-Verlag), International Journal of Virtual Reality, and The Journal of Virtual Reality and Broadcasting.
